When we arrived in Guatemala two weeks ago we didn't know what to expect (cuando llegamos en Guatemala dos semanas atrás no sabíamos qué esperar). But I have to say, we've had a great time (pero tengo que decir, hemos pasado genial). I've done a lot of traveling and I think it's one of the most amazing places I've ever been to (yo he hecho muchos viajes y creo que este es uno de los lugares más increíbles que he estado). We've done a lot in the last two weeks (hemos hecho mucho en las dos últimas semanas). We've gone hiking explored some of the ancient Mayan ruins and camped next to a volcano (hemos ido de excursión y exploramos algunas ruínas mayas antiguas). We've also seen some beautiful birds (también hemos visto algunos pájaros bellos). The quetzals are so colorful and there are hummingbirds everywhere (los quetzales son muy coloridas y hay colibríes en todos lados). There are lots of things we haven't had time to do (hay muchas cosas que no hemos tenido tiempo de hacer). I've always wanted to go to the rain forest (yo siempre he querido ir a la selva tropical). I hope we get there (espero que lleguemos allá). Camping was really fun (campamento fue muy divertido). We drove up some rough dirt roads to Ipala Volcano and got a flat tire on the way (conduzimos en carreteras ásperas y sucias hasta Ipala Volcano y tuvimos un pinchazo en el camino). Flat tire (pinchazo). It was worth the trip, though (pero valió la pena el viaje). There's a really pretty lake up there that we hiked around (hay un lago muy bello allá y caminamos alrededor). It rained really hard one night and everything outside the tent got soaked but at least the tent didn't leak (llovió muy fuerte una noche y todo afuera de la carpa quedó mojado, pero al menos la carpa no infiltró). Fortunately, the weather's gotten better (afortunadamente el clima mejoró). Another place we found had these beautiful hot springs and a hot waterfall (un otro lugar que encontramos tenía estas lindas fuentes termales y una cascada caliente). Standing underneath it was just like taking a hot shower (estar de pie debajo de estas cosas era como tomar una ducha caliente). I miss you all (extraño todos ustedes).
